There are programs which periodically run and gather all kinds of information on the internet. mail safe-tcl can provide active mail and is MIME compliant mail takes on a whole new dimesion with this package. For instance, you can create graphical front-end to lets say order forms and mail the tcl/tk program to users. The act of reading the mail message will result in the order form program to be displayed in your workstation. netaudio freebsd.cdrom.com:/pub/FreeBSD If you want to have fun or sound oriented apps vat and nv (vat not available for linux) useful for having company video conferences or audio conferences.
