: We have exactly same problem on FreeBSD1.1-Current(3/20) with Two

Darn! I was thunderstruck when I read this - I also have a CONNER CFP1060S
(at an Adaptec 1542B) and the aha0 driver also locks up...
I looked into the source code and saw that after some lengthy timeout (10 sec)
the code still does not find the "completed" status in some status register
of the 1542B...
Btw, I run FreeBSD 1.0 (installed from the "Devil" CD).
Windows NT runs fine with this disk, but I admit I am not using it as a
Windows NT paging disk so I didn't stress test it under Windows NT...
Boy oh boy...
Perhaps there's a workaround with some clever patch to the AHA driver?
Does anybody have an idea?
Does Conner perhaps offer a firmware upgrade for the disk?

Any help appreciated...
