Lines: 22 Message-ID: <DFR.94Jun3104518@minnow.render.com> NNTP-Posting-Host: minnow.render.com I just got my new copy of the X11R6 CD with RockRidge extensions and happily mounted it under FreeBSD-1.1 (Adaptec 1542b, Toshiba 3401 CD). All appeared to work until I tried to build a link tree from it so that I could compile it. It appears that in RockRidge, deeply nested directories need to be renamed due to some kind of limitation in the ISO format. in particular, 'R6untarred/xc/programs/Xserver/PEX5/ddpex/mi/include' (among others) was renamed to 'R6untarred/xc/programs/Xserver/PEX5/ddpex/mi/../../../../../../../RR_MOVED/INCLUDE0' according to a translation table which I found in the same directory. However, instead of seeing the directory, all that appears is a zero length file with the right name. I also saw some cryptic messages like 'isofs:CL[12] loc=193' and 'isofs:RE[4]' in my console window. Looking at the code, the relocated directory seems to be just a stub at the moment. Is this fixed in FreeBSD-1.1.5? Does anyone have any unofficial patches? -- Doug Rabson, RenderMorphics Ltd. Mail: dfr@render.com Phone: +44 71 266 5090 FAX: +44 71 266 1623
