Any comments? who cares? if you like Linux better, then use it. if you like *BSD better, then use that. if you are not sure, then use which ever seems to suit your needs better. Me, I like BSD386 from BSDI, that's what I use (I used to hack kernels, now I have better things to do with my time). whether one version of Unix-like is better than another version of Unix-like is like religions arguing that their concept of god is more superior to the other's concept of god. it's religious wars that cause the worst grief in the world. let people believe what they want to, let them live their lives the way they want to (as long as they don't try to tell you how to live yours :-) me, I'm an athiest (and I wear the BSD T-shirt, and I use 'vi', pronounced vee-eye :-) you can believe what you want to, I'm not going to try to change your mind. Now, an arguement that Unix (of *any* flavor) is better than NT, that I'll happily entertain. That's like arguing that Homo Sapiens is better than the Neanderthall (sp?). However, I don't expect too much argument in this group on *that* issue :-) Glenn (slightly bored and just passing through c.o.l.m ...) -- Email - glenn@cs.uwa.edu.au ,-_|\ glenn huxtable phone - +61 9 380 2878 / \ dept of computer science fax - +61 9 380 1089 *_,-._/ university of western australia v
