I can't read some parts of my new FreeBSD-1.1 cdrom. It seems
that some areas are bad. Is it possible with a new CD?
I received it today. When entering the command
  dd if=/dev/cd0d of=/dev/null bs=10240
I get a read error after 42005 blocks (about 430 MB).
The CD has 660 MB as reported by 'df'.
The FreeBSD CD is from Walnut Creek. It is manufactured by
Disctronic.
Until now I never had any problems with my NEC 84-1 Multispin
CD-ROM (SCSI) drive.
Thank you in advance for any hints.

Robert
