Hi all,

Where can I get the recent versions of gcc (2.5.8) and gdb (>3.5) for
FreeBSD from? I already built gcc 2.5.8, but it doesnt fit as smart
into the FreeBSD environment as /usr/bin/cc does. Notably the compiler
drivers have different library and include searching conventions. Cc
used to link programs with an implied -static, while an explicite
-static is not accepted. Finally if I want to link objects made by
gcc-2.5.8 with the stock shared libraries, I receive multiple warnings
about relocations, which are just ugly, even though the produced
executable seems to run o.k.

Any hint is much appreciated
