Too late - I've beek working in the Unix "machine shop" for, oh,
call it 15 years. And it's the fact that all the tools work together,
just like in a machine shop, that's what I love about it.

and I've written for the Mac, which I'm typing on right now and
very much appreciate what it's done for consistency and usability.

but I also routinely curse this bloody Macintosh because something
which is trivial to accomplish can't be done because noone has built
some "user friendly" interface, mostly because it is so bloody hard to do.

so I've heard it all before, and I've done it before, and I've been
amused by it before.

	cheers,
