The new sendmail is configureable via mc (master config) files.
In the sendmail sources there are examples in the cf directory.

Copy one of the template files, that fits your needs, to myname.mc,
modify it and then do a make myname.cf. That creates a suitable
myname.cf in the obj directory.

See the instructions in the cf/README file ...

So its relatively ease to create a suitable cf file without knowing
everything about sendmail rules ....
