Espiritu santo, : etc etc. Now, it looks to me like your problem is simply that you : don't have gettys running on those new virtual ttys. You have to have : entries in your /etc/ttys for the new ttyv<n> devices or syscons won't : switch to them. : Check out the syscons section in our FAQ - very useful in times like : this! :-) In FreeBSD 1.1.5 syscons will be the default (with 3 vty's) : so it should be more obvious, hopefully. : freebsd.cdrom.com:~ftp/pub/FreeBSD/FAQ : Jordan It is also necessary to change the device line in the configuration file from pc0 to sc0, see the file SYSCONS in /usr/src/sys/i386/compile for an example.
