Hi, everybody!
I am running FreeBSD 1.0 and I have a Gold Start CD ROM in my system?
(not SCSI). Is there any way to make it work for me? Where can I look
for drivers for this device? FreeBSD FAQ says that the only supported
CD ROM devices are SCSI and Mitsuimi - but may be something changed since
the time FAQ was written?
If nothing is available currently I am willing to spent some time, and
to write such driver ( I had similar projects under DOS), it would be a
educational experience. But since I never had any experience with
development under UNIX, I would need some directions from our FreeBSD
gurus :)). Like which book to use, where find samples, and where to find
technical documantation for my GS CD ROM ( I don't have it ??::)).
Any help would be appreciated.
Boris Pitel.
