I have read the FAQ's and I know that FreeBSD 1.1 does not support PCMCIA,
but...

I don't know anything about PCMCIA but want to buy a modem for a laptop
on which I run FreeBSD 1.1. Do PCMCIA modems need drivers to work or
do they operation on the same int and use the same io addresses as the com
ports?

Really I am asking if a PCMCIA modem will work with BSD.
