Section 1.2.19 of README.ez notes:

1.2.19 Notes on Installation on BSD derivatives for 386 class machines

This is the first public release to support NetBSD 0.9,
	BSDI/386, and possibly FreeBSD.
		      ^^^^^^^^

	See <sources>/ossupport/i386_bsd/NetBSD.README for more
information, including fixes needed to csh and make for them
	to work for AUIS.

[The NetBSD.README file also notes the changes needed to build
	 AUIS-6.3 on NetBSD-current~start-may ]

In theory all the changes needed by FreeBSD-1.1 are in the AUIS 6.3
release. It's just that, to my knowledge, no one got a chance to test
it.

Please try it.
