Hello,

while installing FereeBSD 1.1 I am trying to set up a second scsi drive.
This is a Quantum LPS105S, on an Adaptec 1542C.

I simply can't disklabel that beast. It always complains about bad magic or
damaged label or pack .

I have tried all the various suggestions in the faq, but whatever I try I
don't get a label there.

Any Ideas ? This drive ran fine under DOS, so it shouldn't be a hardware
problem.

Any help is gratefully appreciated!

Regards

Christoph Weber-Fahr
