Sounds like a bug in rxvt, since I'm using an older version of it
w/out any problems.  (Not sure, since it's been quite a while since
I downloaded rxvt).  Also, I know that it works fine under xterm as
well so if I were you I'd try to track down the bug and send the problem
report off to the author of rxvt.
