I tried to install FreeBSD to my HD. It hangs after I boot to the floppy the
second time (w/o filesystem floppy) at the message:
Changing root device to fd0d
I checked the FAQs. It said it was a disk geometery problem. I checked w/ the
utility suggested, then went into the BIOS setup to confirm this. It is NOT
a disk geometery problem. The setup program for FreeBSD had the proper values
and there is no translation being done.
Does anyone have any suggestions? What is device fd0d? I'd really like to
run FreeBSD, and this problem is most annoying. Please, please, please help!
