Ftp.iastate.edu is an official mirror for NetBSD (i386 and otherwise).
All official NetBSD mailling lists (that I know of) go through
majordomo@sun-lamp.cs.berkeley.edu.

Ask on the current-users list @sun-lamp. (I would recommend waiting
