I have an ESDI disk drive with a few bad spots on a WD1007 controller.
When I try to map them out with 'badsect', it reports that the
disk partition is busy. Using 'bad144' doesn't seem to do the
trick either. So, what's going on here? Does Freebsd support neither
of its two utilities for dealing with imperfect disks? Are there
any other bad disk management utilities lurking? Will NOMAD
hunt me down and destroy my disk because it is imperfect?
