The install program starts messing with my hard drive (initializes it and sets up the root partition, I think). It labels the HD ok and then (the filesystem floppy for FreeBSD 1.1.5Ris in the drive): Super-block ... [Tons of numbers. Next time, no numbers just the following line] ISA strayintr c bt0: Try to abort bt0: Abort operation timed out bt0: Try to abort bt0: Abort operation timed out bt0: Try to abort bt0: Abort operation timed out bt0: Try to abort bt0: Abort operation timed out mkdir: /mnt: Input/Output error bt0: Try to abort bt0: Abort operation timed out /dev/sd0e on /mnt/usr: Input/Output error copying to disk... bt0: Try to abort bt0: Abort operation timed out bt0: Try to abort bt0: Abort operation timed out bt0: Try to abort bt0: Abort operation timed out bt0: Try to abort bt0: Abort operation timed out bt0: Try to abort bt0: Abort operation timed out [ X marks the spot (see below) ] cpio: cannot make dir '/mnt', Input/Output error bt0: Try to abort bt0: Abort operation timed out cpio: /mnt/usr/sbin/bad144: Input/Output error bt0: Try to abort bt0: Abort operation timed out bt0: Try to abort bt0: Abort operation timed out bt0: Try to abort bt0: Abort operation timed out bt0: Try to abort bt0: Abort operation timed out bt0: Try to abort bt0: Abort operation timed out [ Loops back to the position above marked 'X' ] I've recopied/downloaded the disk images (but never used those CHKSUMs). I doubt the problem is with a corrupt image (since the same thing keeps happening over and over). Anyone know the solution to my problem?
