Hi!
I just installed FreeBSD version 1.0.2 from CD ROM and it is really great!!!
I have a couple of problems still and would appreciate if someone would help:
1) When exiting X-Windows, system hangs. In the error file that i produced by
"startx >& error" it says it can't open directory /etc/vga that in fact
doesn't exists: there IS some file called vga, but is of 0 size.
I think that may be the problem, but does anyone have any clue???
2) I tried to compile screen command, but i get a bunch of errors from the
compiler.
Related to this, please tell me if there is any way (or need?) for me to
upgrade version 1.0.2 of BSD to something more current? How can I do this?
+ Is there any site from which i could ftp already ready executables such
as 'screen' command or so (for FreeBSD @PC) w/o need for recompilation?
Thank you in advance,
Goran Devic
