My local FreeBSD expert is on vacation and I am trying to set up a test site
for an Amylaar driver based MUD. I can get the driver to build and I can run
it and login. The problem I am having is that whenever I press the RETURN key
after entering input, I get a ^M displayed but the following text that gets
sent back to me does not start on the next line. I tried running with telnet
in debugging mode, and when I pressed the RETURN key it gave me a line like
this:

^M: 0 0x0d00

It appears to me that this may be a problem with the input going to the
driver, but I can not be sure. I have had this system running since Sunday
morning and I only have the root user active. My terminal type is the
standard cons25 in case this makes a difference.

I can still work with the MUD, but it gets pretty annoying seeing the ^M all
the time. I am considering going with PPP in the near future, so I will need
this resolved as well for people accessing my machine.

Please contact me via email with responses at jkurtz@starbase.neosoft.com.

Thanks,
John
