This is untrue -- the Cyrix chips work fine if used properly. Also,
once again, keep in mind that there are several different versions of
Cyrix chips, some more hardware compatible (where the problem lies)
with an Intel 486DX than others.
I posted an article in this same thread a few days ago that explained
all this. I suggest you take a look at it.
