David Greenman is producing some FreeBSD T-Shirts with the familiar
Berkeley Daemon on them. His original message is reproduced at the
end of this post.
In order to economise on shipping charges, as well as bank draft fees,
I am making a bulk order. Anyone wishing to purchase a shirt can do
so through me.
Figuring $A1 roughly equal to $US0.70, $A25 seems a reasonable price for
each T-Shirt, including shipping from the US to me. If you would like
me to post the shirt to you, when it arrives, please add postage/Postpak
costs to the $25.
I expect to place the order on Friday 15 July (probably around 1700 AEST)
so if you would like to obtain a shirt through me please do the following:
- Email me your order (how many, colour, size, shipping address/method),
or phone me on (07) 870 5241.
- Pay for it, either post me a cheque for the appropriate amount to
2/449 Milton Road
Auchenflower Qld 4066
or get me the money some other way.
Please note that I'm paying up front for these shirts, so I will not be
ordering any shirts for people who have place orders through me but have
not fronted with the funds.
Also, I expect it will be some time before the shirts actually reach me.
If you want a shirt, but you miss out on obtaining one this way, you can still
order on directly through David; but be prepared to pay the $US10 per order
shipping and handling charge.
Cheers,
Sean.

Hello everyone...
After lots of problems and delays, the FreeBSD "The Daemon is FREE!"
T-shirts are finally here!
For those that missed my message about this a few months back, these
T-shirts are based on John Lasseter's original "daemon" artwork, and look very
similar to Kirk McKusick's "The 4.3BSD System Daemon" shirts. The FreeBSD
version has "FreeBSD" in large shadowed text in the upper right corner, and
the phrase "The Daemon is FREE!" below the Berkeley daemon. The T-shirts are
available in light blue and ash, and in the following sizes: small (child),
medium, large, Xlarge, and XXlarge.
The price is $16 per T-shirt, plus $5 (USA, Canada, Mexico) ($10 overseas)
PER ORDER for shipping/handling.
Walnut Creek CDROM has been very helpful in offering to handle the
shipping of the T-shirts for me, but to keep costs down, I'll be taking the
orders via email. To place an order, please fill out as completely as
possible the attached order form, and email it to: t-shirts@root.com. You
may also call Walnut Creek CDROM directly at 1 800 786 9907 or +1 510 674
0783 or fax them at +1 510 674 0821. Payment can be made by Visa,
MasterCard, American Express, or Discover Card. Walnut Creek CDROM will
also accept personal checks if they are drawn on a bank in the US,
EuroCheques IF they are from Germany _and_ in German marks, and money
orders. COD orders in the US will be accepted for an additional $3 over the
normal $5 shipping charge.
Thanks for your time and patience!
-David Greenman
