(You can get them out of the unpacked FreeBSD-current tree which is on freebsd.cdrom.com - they are in usr.sbin.) In FreeBSD there is no manual for accton(8), but the command to turn on accounting in in /etc/rc (commented out): # echo 'turning on accounting'; accton /var/account/acct You will need to touch /var/account/acct before doing this. (The sa and ac utilities in FreeBSD and NetBSD were written by Chris Demetriou.)
