I have a quick question about timezones, that the FAQ didn't completely explain. I live in Indiana, and we use EST, not EDT. So, the timezone keyword in the configuration file should be: timezone 4 dst (as per the FAQ) or timezone 5 ??? So, I guess my question is, does "dst" mean "daylight savings time", and if so, can I delete it, just using the value "5"? I looked on our DECstation, and that is exactly what I saw used. Can someone help me with this? Also, was there any response from the core team on the "lagging" of the 1.1.5.1 pppd daemon vs. the "old" 1.1 pppd, which is claimed to work fine? I have experienced this problem of the 5-10 sec lag before packets get sent, and I find it pretty distressing. Thanks in advance for all advice/criticism. -- Shawn Slavin Indiana University Astronomy Internet: sdslavin@pegasus2.astro.indiana.edu
