I have grown fat and happy over the years, and after much neglect decided to bring my system up to date. After backing up the system, I decided to just do a flat reinstall of the system. I chose to use the '1.1.5.1-RELEASE' distribution. Everything went fine with the install. It wasn't until I tried to recompile the kernel that I had my first problem. The compiler kept halting on a signal 10 or a signal 11. The 'make depend' seemed to work. The 'make' was what failed. The failure did not occure in any specific file, it seemed to be more or less at random. I never had this problem before. Can anyone help me out? Could you please respond via e-mail? Also, feel free to post your response. -- - pitts@mimosa.astro.indiana.edu ^ | James J.
