We don't want him. We have plenty. But before you toss him back,
maybe you should ask him why he needs gcc 2.5.8? I've found that no
matter how often I think "no, you only think you need that" is the
correct answer, it rarely is. That's another big difference between
the BSD groups and the Linux groups: the YouOnlyThinkYouNeedThat to
Here'sHowToDoIt ratio is much higher 'round here.

Besides, if you check the gcc 2.5.8 vs. gcc 2.4.5 track record, you'll
find that most of the exasperating 2.5.8 bugs are g++ ones and don't
affect the average C user. I've also seen reports of gcc 2.4.5
miscompiling several things, including the floppy tape driver and the
Linux kernel. I'm sure you think that's just gcc showing good taste,
but I don't like miscompiled operating systems.

The fact that Warner Losh continually rants about g++ 2.5.8 doesn't
interest me at all, so everybody please don't bring it up.

Man, that's what I hate *most* about Linux users. No, wait, I think I
hate their big stupid ugly operating system more than I hate Linux
users. I can't decide which sucks worse, cuz they both suck pretty
bad. We BSD users are elyte.
