Date: 21 Jul 1994 11:38:27 GMT Organization: IMAG, Grenoble, France Lines: 20 Message-ID: <30lmnj$t76@imag.imag.fr> NNTP-Posting-Host: ngulu.imag.fr Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit X-Newsreader: TIN [version 1.2 PL2] I'm trying to compile emacs 19.25, but the linker fails with the following error message: "ld: No reference to __DYNAMIC" I'm wondering what this really means - appart from the obvious, that ld can't find any references to something called __DYNAMIC. I guess that it has something to do with the shared libraries, but since it isn't in the sources and the linker expects it I guess it is something the compiler should have supplied. Does anybody know what is going wrong here? regards, -- Christian ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Christian Damsgaard Jensen EMAIL: Christian.Jensen@imag.fr Unite mixte Bull-IMAG __________________________________________________ 2 avenue de Vignate / Personally I'm always ready to learn, although 38610 Gieres, France / I do not always like being taught -- Churchill
