This is a *known* problem with the ps/2 driver, and one of the reasons I advised against including it in 1.1.5. However, the consensus was that the number of folks it will help outweighs the number of folks it will hurt. In all of the machines I had lockups they went away when I switched back to the pccons driver instead of syscons, so that might be a starting point.
