Subject: Does FreeBSD support two NICs? (3c509)

I am considering basing a network gateway on FreeBSD, since most of
the good gateway tools seem to be based on BSD. In order to do this,
I need to be able to install two NICs in the machine. I use 3Com
3c509's.

I have read that the drivers may be buggy for the 3c509. I will
certainly be paying attention to that. However, I am still
interested. Sooo.... Does FreeBSD support two interfaces (on two
different subnets) in one machine? It appears that the packet
forwarding is turned off by default -- good. That helps.

Also, has anyone use TIS' Firewall Toolkit under FreeBSD? I would be
interested in others' experiences, and I would be willing to share my
own once I'm up-and-running.

TIA,
  Greg
