Ftp.iastate.edu is probably the highest-traffic NetBSD ftp site, although you can also ftp directly to sun-lamp.cs.berkeley.edu (if you can even get in), and the other mirrors that I can't remember the names of. Closest estimate I've heard so far on 1.0 is around the first week in August. However, realize the NetBSD guys will not release it until they know it's ready. So, if they don't feel comfortable, they won't be bound by a deadline. On the other hand, it's just about to go from 1.0-Alpha to 1.0-Beta. And it's running as excellently as ever on my system. So, I'd say the target date is probably pretty accurate. But, please bear in mind that I am not a core member, and I have no inside knowledge, nor influence over, the date. -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Michael L.
