The Athena Widget Set is a library that gives some simple routines to use under X-Windows ( scrollbars, textwindows, selection-menues ? ). There are other such libraries like Motif ( commercial ), Open Look library ( commercial or also free available ? ), The xview Library, Andrew Toolkit, etc ... If you have not programmed under X-Windows try to first read the X-Window books from O-Reilly and then search on the Net for the available packages for X-Window programming. One word of warning, GUI programming is no fun :-). -- ATS ( ats@first.gmd.de or ats@cs.tu-berlin.de ) Andreas Schulz GMD-FIRST 12489 Berlin-Adlershof Rudower Chaussee 5 Gebaeude 13.7 Tel: +49-30-6392-1856 Germany/Europe
