No -- and why should they? BSD is a self-contained complete operating
system. Not a kernel with a mish-mash of assorted add-ons.
Not that they couldn't if they wanted to. But what would be the
point? NetBSD is already complete.

NetBSD is The Real Thing!
I think that sounds really dumb, too.

I didn't realize this was an advertising campaign. My apologies.

They redistribute a Linux kernel bundled with their own software.
Just because Iowa State has NetBSD on its ftp site doesn't mean it
endorses NetBSD, or even distributes it. It makes it available, along
with other tools to make it usable. But, interpret how you will.
