I recently installed FreeBSD 1.1.5.1 on the 486 I just got. I wanted
to make a serial connection between this machine and my MacII. I put
the serial cable between the two and tried things like 'ls >
/dev/tty03' for a couple of the serial devices, but they all said
'device not configured'. Does this mean I need to get the source
distribution and edit the config file and recompile?

I believe the serial line is connected to com3. I would like to log
into the PC from my mac using a terminal emulator. I would like to
copy files using kermit, and eventually get it setup as a ppp
connection. Any help would be appreciated. Any pointers to
documentation would be appreciated too.

Thanks,
  Brad
