Hi -

I have a problem where I am getting slow interactive keyboard response
when I dailup and use pppd from 1.1.5.1. Slip keyboard response, however,
has normal throughput, and if I drop back and use the pppd from 1.1 (with
the 1.1.5.1 kernel) keyboard response is also normal. By slow interactive
keyboard response I mean it takes a couple of seconds to type each
character. Output back is normal throughput though, such as from "ls".
Ping output appears to be normal also.

I am using a 14.4k modem dialing into a Xyplex terminal server. It
is configured without a login account, so I run pppd in passive mode.

Below is my ppp dialin script:

stty 57600 < /dev/cua01
/usr/libexec/pppd connect 'chat "" "ATDT9435821" "CONNECT"' modem
defaultroute crtscts passive /dev/cua01 57600 0.0.0.0:

I upgraded to 1.1.5.1 from 1.1 using the patchkit.

Any ideas on how to go about finding out what's squashing my
pppd keyboard interaction ?
