Date: 5 Aug 1994 10:32:15 +0200 Organization: Carlstedt Elektronik AB, Sweden Lines: 11 Message-ID: <31stef$46s@site_ii.carlstedt.se> NNTP-Posting-Host: site_ii.carlstedt.se Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit I've come across a machine called "Compaq ProSignia". It has got an EISA motherboard with a SCSI controller on it, but neither Linux nor Net/FreeBSD standard boot diskettes seem to recognise the controller. Also it has some kind of networking card in it which is labeled "Compaq". It has both an Ethernet and a token ring interface, but the chips for the latter seems to be missing. That card doesn't either seem to be found by any of the systems. Does anybody know these machines, what kind of controllers this is, and in particular if there are drivers for them on any of the free Unixes?
