When I try to do anything beyond : this machine, I get a 'host or gateway not responding' error. [munch] : Am I missing something ? : - Rob. Rob: Yes, you're mssing something: the FreeBSD GENERICAH & GENERICBT kernels come with IP forwarding turned off by default. You need to build a new kernel with 'options GATEWAY' in the config file in order for your machine to act as a router. According to the docs (specifically, /usr/src/sys/doc/options.doc), the GATEWAY option is disabled by default because FreeBSD doesn't quite meet the "Routing Requirement" specifications. Install the kernel sources and refer to this file for more information. Hope this helps. -Bill -- _ /\ _ Join the / \_/\_/ \_/\_/ \ .----. M00se Illuminati Bill Paul \_____/ () \_____/ (bl00p!)
