First, when I yank some lines into a named buffer then change to a different file and try to paste from the named buffer I get an error message "Error reading back from tmp file for pasting!" and unreliable results (sometimes the paste seems to work, sometimes partially, sometimes not at all). Seems to be okay if I don't switch files. Looks like some kind of mishandling of the tmp file across the switch. The second problem has to do with tags. Even though the current directory has a valid tags file and the function that I specify is listed in this tags file, vi tells me the requested tag is not found. Seems to not work at all. (I've never had it find a tag). Are others experiencing these problems, or do I have some kind of environmental/configuration problem? Thanks for any help you can give, -- Bob Willcox ...!{rutgers|ames}!cs.utexas.edu!uudell!rancor!obiwan!bob Phone: 512 258-4224 (home) 512 838-3914 (work)
