Am I missing something? The default partition table data in the disklabel is bogus. You need to run the /sbin/fdisk program and put in the correct values for heads, tracks, cyls. and size info. Then when you reboot the annoying but harmless "truncating 256 heads to 15" will be gone. Just remeber that anytime you re-disklabel your disk you might have to re-adjust the partition again with fdisk.
