Message-ID: <1994Aug12.210012.15677@newsgate.sps.mot.com> Sender: news@newsgate.sps.mot.com Nntp-Posting-Host: bigfoot.sps.mot.com Reply-To: rapw20@email.sps.mot.com Organization: sps Distribution: usa Date: Fri, 12 Aug 1994 21:00:12 GMT Lines: 15 This is probably more of a DOS question than BSD, but this seems like a good place to ask. I tried specifying IRQ 2 for my 3C503 board and genning a new kernel but get a "IRQ 2 Re-mapped to IRQ 9" msg from config. At boot time, it appears that the 3C503 board can't be found. Why is IRQ 2 remapped to 9? I assume it's a legacy of the DOS days. Is there any way to stop it? What will happen if I try to use IRQ 9 for something? Sorry if this is a dumb question. Any info or pointers to a FAQ will be appreciated. Thanks. Mark
