I have been using the generic AHA kernel floppy. Should I : be using the one with 1742/747 support in it instead? Yes, I run FreeBSD-1.1.5.1 and recently upgraded from an early revision of the card. You probably should use the other kernel if netbsd is similar to freebsd in this respect. I tried the aha freebsd floppy and it had similar symptoms to those you describe. When you change the IRQ setting, there are two palces you must do this, the switchbank 2 switches 6,7 and 8 and the jumper block near the middle of the edge connector (w3-w8). Here is the probe info from 'dmesg': bt0 at 0x330 irq 12 drq 5 on isa Hope this helps Terry : Could someone who is successfully using a BT445S card please email me : your exact DIP switch and jumper settings? : Thanks. : -- : Paul Southworth : CICNet Systems Support : pauls@cic.net -- _-_|\ Terry Dwyer E-Mail: tdwyer@netbsd08.dn.itg.telecom.com.au / \ System Administrator Phone: +61 9 491 5161 Fax: +61 9 221 2631 *_.^\_/ Telecom Australia Telstra Corporation MIME capable mailer v Perth WA ( I do not speak for Telstra or Telecom )
