I know why it won't work with the ethernet card: I have an SMC (WD8013) card (which is supported), but BSD is looking for the card at I/O base address 0x280, and I have it at 0x360. I can move the card, I suppose, but I'd rather not. Where/how do you configure FreeBSD for hardware- specific info like this? Also, it wont let me mount my CD-ROM to install additional options. How do you setup the CD-ROM? I made the mistake of assuming that, since it installed from the CD-ROM, it would setup the device properly for future use. thanks, Jonathan
