Message-ID: <englandCunpKw.3FJ@netcom.com> Summary: Ethernet card is not found..HELP?? Keywords: ethernet network netbsd Organization: NETCOM On-line Communication Services (408 261-4700 guest) Date: Wed, 17 Aug 1994 02:00:31 GMT Lines: 32 I have just installed NetBSD-0.9 off the three floppies, and I want to install the rest of the files via ftp or nfs off my sun server. The problem I am having is that there was no /dev/ne0 driver installed (or any ethernet drivers for that matter). I am using an ETHER-16C card which is 100% NE2000 compatible (I have been using it for our novell, windows for workgroups, and ChameleonNFS networks under DOS with NO problems). I don't know if it must be at a specific address/irq setting or not, but right now it is set at: i/o addr: 340h IRQ: 5 Let me know if I need to change that and if so to what. Also, if needed, here is a rundown of the other hardware installed in my system: Com1 3F8h at IRQ4 Com2 2F8h at IRQ3 Adapetc 1542 330h at IRQ 11 w/ DMA 5 BIOS C8000 generic Scanner card i/o 300h w/ DMA 3 If any more information is needed, just let me know.... Thanks in advance... je -- Justin England -- england@netcom.com Diverse Logistics Inc.
