I've been trying to get my modem to work under FreeBSD 1.5.1.1 ^^^^^^^^ 1.1.5.1 ;-) : I can use it with kermit, but after I enter set line /dev/tty01 kermit : won't do anything till I press ^C. I would guess that the reason for this is the : same one as the one for seyon, which I got from a 'package', (it's a terminal : program for X..) to say that it can't access the modem (it isn't very specific : about the problem). I tried this: : stty -f /dev/tty01 clocal : and this: : stty -f /dev/tty01 -clocal : both of which yield no error and have no effect on the modem's operation: : seyon still can't use it and kermit needs a ^Cto get it going again. : What's the problem here? There is a sio manpage which explains the different devices to you. Use the call out devices /dev/cua00, ... when calling out. Use the initial state and/or lock state devices cuai00 / cual00 if you want to initialize your modem ports first ... Hope that helps. -- Andreas Klemm /\/\____ Wiechers & Partner Datentechnik GmbH andreas@knobel.knirsch.de ___/\/\/ andreas@wupmon.wup.de (Unix Support)
