In the spirit of people who have been "contaminated" by seeing propriety
information of a company and then leaving and going to another company,
I would like to propose the following law: If you forbid ex employees
from using knowledge that they have learned while in your employ, then
you must only hire those who have had no previous experience with any
propriety system. In other words, you cannot hire anyone who has had
any experience in your industry, or related industry, including experience
at college or other educational institution. Yes, you, the employer must
pay for all your employees education from grade school up to the time you
hire them. Yes, the top people in the industry will not be allowed to
work for you. You can only hire idiots. If you prevent others from taking
their knowledge with them, then you can not accept knowledge from others.

:-) for the humor challenged.
