Date: 25 Aug 1994 17:16:47 GMT Organization: Walnut Creek CD-ROM Lines: 30 Distribution: world Message-ID: <JKH.94Aug25101647@freefall.cdrom.com> NNTP-Posting-Host: freefall.cdrom.com Well, I've read through Jesus Monroy's last 5 postings and I have to say that it's not even funny at this point - I think we've pushed him over the edge! It used to be that the occasional discourse with Jesus was amusing, with the top 2 or 3 insane or ludicrous points in some posting of his providing a handy foil for a witty riposte or parody. Even I, someone who's generally the first to council moderation in our periodic flame-fests, have not been beneath the occasional sparring match with Jesus in this and other groups - the temptation for a little comic relief was just too high. But not now. The last few follow-ups from him have a whiff of desperation about them, and he's lost all pretense of even trying to be coherent. He roasts someone for their spelling mistakes and then spends the next 3 paragraphs mutilating the english language himself, or calls someone a moron for not understanding him and then rebuts the next 3 points with "what?". This is not someone holding a healthy discourse, this is a caged junkyard dog who's spent the last 2 hours being poked with sticks and is now slavering and biting at everything in sight, including himself. Let's leave Jesus alone before we read of some messy occurance in the papers - I'm serious. I really don't think he's stable enough to deal with public criticism at this level, and I don't see that this "I know you are but what am I?" debate reflects well on any of us anyway. I personally am going to wish Jesus a "peace be with you" and retire from the follow-up business for awhile. Jordan
