I do this:
they both live on the same partiton,
I use sd0a as the root for FreeBSD
and sd0e as the root for NetBSD
so to boot NetBSD, I type:
sd(0,e)netbsd
and for FreeBSD
I let it default..
they have different fstab files so they mount differnt /usr
partitions as well, but I mount the same source partition and each
mount's the other's root partition as well, so I can fix netbsd from freebsd
and visa-versa.
