I got the distribution from gatekeeper.dec.com:/pub/BSD/NetBSD/arch/sparc. I followed the installation instructions. I have an IPC with a 207 disk. I changed the partition table to accomodate the larger root of NetBSD. I am running in 'a' and 'g'. Sort of standard. While booting -s, or any mode for that matter, I get the UNIX stuff about devices and then nothing. The last message is: Found boot device sd0 I have only one disk on the system. Among the things I did was run MAKEDEV in /mnt/dev for sd0. Are SunOS devices compatible with NetBSD? I greped for the error message in all the files and couldn't find it. I don't have source downloaded. Can any one give me a hint? Daniel Robinson
