The details of this project are still confidential so I can not say too much about it here. It will be released as shareware. We would like to hear from programmers who could help port the code to a number of platforms. Here are the various combinations of talents/experience needed: 1. General Requirements Running UUCP on Amiga Running AmiTCP/NOS Excellent C Programming and documentation skills.(Please tell me what compiler(s) you use) Relaxed easy going but a sticker for detail In depth Amiga knowledge and experience. An Amiga -(state model(s)) Some Unix/NetBSD/FreeBSD would be useful as would some knowledge of WWW You must have an email address and preferably an ability to exchange files using TCP/IP. 2. Together with the following: Ability to port to and debug under one of the following platforms: (a) PC compatibles under MSDOS (b) PC compatibles under windows (c) Sun (d) Apple (e) Vax (f) Archimedes In each case please tell me what model(s) you have access to You will equivalent experience on your chosen porting platform. 3. We would also like some independently minded volunteer beta-testers. The more able you are to nit-pick the more we like it so if you really enjoy complaining and documenting your gripes here is your ideal task!! Tell us your platform. The amount of code is not large (V1.0 will produce a binary not exceeding 20K) and this is not a full time job!!!! We believe you should be able to complete the porting to your chosen platform quite quickly if you have the right experience and equipment. You should only have to deal with o/s and platform dependent sections of the code (which are not very large). We do want people who are able to stay with the project for some time and work on upgrades and developments from time to time. You should enjoy helping and supporting people when they have problems and be unafraid of letting others know when you have problems yourself. We think it is a v. interesting project and we have considerable experience in working with people who only meet by email. You will be rewarded by a royalty for your efforts which will also be recognised in the release annoucements and documentation. You will have to sign a confidentiality agreement and the copyright to all development source material will remain with us.
