In article <jmonroyCv0uBG.1HE@netcom.com> jmonroy@netcom.com (Jesus Monroy Jr) writes:

No, that's not what I said.

Please note that I said "In the past".

Ok, noted. Then why, in the same paragraph, did you also encourage
people to go to 386BSD 1.0 *NOW* to enjoy this same degree of "*BSD
style and flavor"? Because it wouldn't have sounded quite so
attractive if you'd said:

In the past, Bill's releases have been very
compliant with *BSD style and flavor. This may
not be the case any longer, and it's very possible that
386BSD now represents an entirely mutant strain of UN*X,
sort of like that "outer limits" episode where this
*brain*, like grows in this beaker in some lab and like,
escapes and then the national guard is called out but
it's like too strong so they shoot it and shoot it but
it won't die and it eats a bunch of them and then the
original scientist invents, like, this gas that makes the
brain stupid and it eats itself instead and there's like
just this greasy spot left. that was cool. huh huh..
Oh, anyway, I still urge you to go with Bill's code for
nostalgia's sake and also it will make both of us feel
		   better. Thank you.

Face it, Jesus - you're just as much of a snake-oil salesman as the
folks who try to sell you cheap home security devices on T.V.! The
least you could do is admit it and stop hiding behind this cheeseball
"defender of the programming faith" posture!
