Well, it's looking for those ports at the other IRQs since COM1/COM2 tend to clash IRQs with COM3/COM4 otherwise.. But you're right, it should be in the FAQ, though I also have to say that this is the first time I've heard the question asked! Not very frequent.. :) Jordan
